Devil Kiss pigment delivers a deep black base that flips through red, purple, green, and gold as the viewing angle changes — a true "black change" travel rarely seen in standard pearl effects. This chameleon color shift pigment works across nail polish, automotive coatings, inks, and plastics, with both industrial and cosmetic grades available. As a color shift pigment supplier, we stock multiple shift directions so formulators can match the exact flop they need.

The DK industrial grades run well in automotive chameleon paints, general coatings, plastics, printing inks, synthetic leather surfaces, and craft work. The DKC1 cosmetic grades are formulated for decorative cosmetics and personal care — nail polish, eyes, lips, and mirror nail effects. Worth noting: the black-change behavior shows best over dark or clear basecoats, where there's no competing background to wash out the flop.
Flake pigments are sensitive to shear. Disperse under low-to-moderate agitation and avoid high-speed mills that fracture the platelets — broken flakes flatten the shift and dull the black base. For coatings, a dark or transparent ground coat maximizes travel; light grounds reduce the contrast that makes this effect work. In nail and ink systems, confirm binder compatibility and check loading at small scale before scaling a batch.
Can I use the same Devil Kiss shade in both paint and cosmetics?
No — use the DK series for industrial work and the DKC1 cosmetic grade for skin, lip, and nail contact. The color travel is matched in family, but only the DKC1 grades are intended for cosmetic use.
Why does my coating look flat black with no shift?
Two common causes: over-milling that broke the flakes, or a light-colored ground coat. Apply over a dark or clear base and lower your dispersion shear.
